Harris County Community Center

• New 45,000-square-foot community center features many flexible-use spaces for the residents of Harris County, including:
  • Administration offices
  • Multi-purpose event space and meeting rooms
  • A gymnasium with two full-size basketball courts
  • Men’s and women’s locker rooms
  • Eight-lane competition size pool with a zero-entry splash park area
• While under construction, the building received a direct hit from a tornado. The Batson-Cook team worked diligently to repair and reconstruct the damaged areas.
• The site Superintendent was recognized with a Safety Award from AGC Georgia for his safety plan implementation during the tornado. No injuries were sustained on the jobsite during the storm.
