TAMPA, FL (September 19, 2018) – Batson-Cook Construction is pleased to announce that Jim Mozingo, manager of preconstruction for its office here, has been selected for membership in Leadership Tampa Bay, Class of 2019.

Leadership Tampa Bay is a non-partisan, non-special interest, regional program with the goal of enhancing awareness, education, and knowledge of major Tampa Bay regional issues through learning experiences and discussion.

“The Batson-Cook family is pleased that Jim has been selected to participate in this prestigious program,” said Conn Crabtree, general manager of Batson-Cook. “He has been an integral part of the growth of our operations in Tampa, and I know he will bring the same level of passion and commitment to this leadership program.”

Mozingo said he is looking forward to meeting professionals from various vocations in Tampa Bay to learn more about the challenges facing the region and how the LTB participants can work collaboratively to help develop solutions. “Three areas of most importance to me are the skilled labor shortage, a lagging mass transit system, and the need for solid role models for our region’s children and youth,” Mozingo said.

Mozingo is actively involved as an assistant scoutmaster for Troop 53, Boy Scouts of America; a baseball coach for Palma Ceia Little League; and a member of the “Team Trigger Happy” paintball team. He has been with Batson-Cook since 2005, is a LEED AP professional, and has a personal construction portfolio which tops $767 million.
