Batson-Cook Construction’s Clays for a Cause Raises a record breaking $236,000

Atlanta, Ga. (April 26, 2024) – Batson-Cook Construction’s 18th annual Clays for a Cause charity sporting clays tournament raised a record-breaking $236,000 for two nonprofit organizations: The Montgomery Cancer Center Mobile Health Clinic and MUST Ministries. As with previous years, this event was held at Big Red Oak Plantation in Gay, Ga. and was the seventh time in that location. In total, the annual Clays for a Cause event has generated more than $2.5 million dollars for charitable organizations in our community.

“Our Clays for a Cause event this year was record breaking in many ways,” said Randy Hall, president and CEO of Batson-Cook. “We not only secured the highest amount ever donated to two worthy organizations, but participation soared as well. It was a fantastic day – giving back to our communities while having fun!”

Clays for a Cause event is planned each year by a dedicated committee comprised of Batson-Cook employees. Approximately 70 employees from Batson-Cook’s Atlanta and West Point, Georgia Offices spent countless manhours planning and executing the event and ensuring everyone’s safety. About 2024 Clays for a Cause Beneficiaries

The Montgomery Cancer Center (Montgomery, Ala.) treats their patients and their patients’ families like part of their own family. The new 24-foot mobile cancer screening and health unit, staffed with Montgomery Cancer Center professionals, will increase healthcare accessibility and education for rural and low-income residents in 12 central Alabama counties.

MUST (Marietta, Ga.) is a volunteer organization dedicated to helping homeless and struggling individuals and families with food, clothing, housing, and employment. MUST brings people of many faiths together to respond to God's challenge to minister to others with compassion andlove, without judgment of the beliefs, background or circumstances of those who serve or are being served.
