Atlanta, Ga. (August 27, 2021) – Batson-Cook Construction, one of the Southeast’s leading healthcare construction companies, has topped out on the new Winship Emory Midtown facility at Emory University Hospital Midtown, a state-of-the-art hospital bringing innovative comprehensive cancer care to the region.
“We couldn’t be happier to partner with Emory University Hospital Midtown and the Winship Cancer Institute on this project,” said Darin Appleton, project executive for Batson-Cook. “Topping out today means we are getting closer to bringing this beautiful facility online so Emory University Hospital Midtown can offer a cancer care model to patients that will be unlike any other facility in the country.”

Located in Midtown Atlanta, this 450,000 square-foot, 17-story, iconic building dedicated to personalized cancer care, will include private inpatient rooms, family suites, clinic exam rooms, research space and multidisciplinary collaboration spaces. The building will also have operating rooms, rehabilitation space, radiation oncology and imaging, and associated ancillary support space.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
