WEST POINT, GA (Dec 3, 2018) - Batson-Cook Construction is pleased to announce the recent completion and grand opening of a new youth residential wing at the KidsPeace of Georgia campus in Bowdon.

Batson-Cook teamed with Peiper O’Brien Herr Architects of Atlanta to design and construct the 10,000-square-foot wing for KidsPeace, which provides a campus-based setting for youth aged 12 to 17 who need residential, clinical, and educational services. This new one-story addition to the main building on campus has 20 rooms for female clients and includes staff offices and classrooms. It was designed with anti-ligature features and has an elevated clerestory section to allow for natural light.

The new wing brings to 80 the number of client beds at KidsPeace.

“It has been our privilege to participate in the expansion of the campus at KidsPeace, which is making significant strides in caring for area youth,” said Jonathan Collard, senior project manager for Batson-Cook. “We are most appreciative of the work they do.”
