When it comes to preparing for a career, it’s hard to beat hands-on experience. A student internship/co-op at Batson-Cook provides the perfect blend of training for your career and experiencing life as a member of the Batson-Cook team.
Our internship/co-op program structure places a high value on mentoring and goal-setting, while encouraging fun and personal development along the way.
Many of Batson-Cook’s senior-level team members began their careers as interns/co-ops. Our main goal will always be to encourage growth and permanent employment upon completion of the program.
The education you’ve received is invaluable, but it’s only half of the equation. The other half is experience. Working alongside accomplished professionals and mentors, you’ll learn the ins-and-outs of the construction business that only hands-on experience can teach. Our interns/co-ops are exposed to real situations in the field and in the office. To do this, we provide rich experiences covering three categories of career paths:
We strongly support the next generation of project managers, project superintendents, estimators and preconstruction experts through our recruiting programs with the top construction and engineering schools In the Southeast. Come see us at your school’s next Construction or STEM Career Fair! You can find us on campus at: Auburn University, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw State University, University of Central Florida, University of Florida, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, University of North Florida, and University of South Florida.

“My internship has reconfirmed what I already knew, I want to join the construction industry and I want to do it with Batson-Cook. Batson-Cook has helped me learn and understand the everyday task, supervision, and leadership qualities needed to run an efficient and safe construction site. During my time here I’ve learned to survey, handle and document paperwork, estimate costs, provide quality control, and started on my path to becoming a field engineer. Overall my time at Batson-Cook has been more than I could have hoped for and I love everyday I spend on-site.”
