Batson-Cook completed the administration offices for the Troup
County Recreation Department, which included space for aerobics,
as well as multi-purpose space with hardwood floors and carpet for
dance. Also included in the projects scope was an art room
with provisions for ceramic kilns, painting and hobbyist activities.
This facility was a partial renovation of an existing building.
Phase II included a 17,000-square-foot pool area, an inline hockey
rink, a 25,000-square-foot indoor skate park, and two indoor basketball
courts totalling 19,000 square feet. The facility also houses locker
rooms, restrooms and support facilities. This phase included the
conversion of the remaining area of the existing building and several
new additions to accommodate the ultimate build-out of the facility.
Exterior amenities include
walking trails and a BMX bicycle course.
