Batson-Cook recently constructed the 110,000-square-foot, three-story
Columbus Library for the Muscogee County School District and Columbus
Consolidated Government. This elegant building features a copper
roof, exterior limestone, granite and brick. The interior is composed
of limestone walls, limestone floors and custom cherry and anagre
millwork. Features include a children's library, young adults' section,
cafe, genealogy room, grand reading room, auditorium, offices, computer
rooms, meeting space, and a grand staircase and rotunda.
