This project entailed the complete interior and exterior renovation of a 300,000-square-foot, 12-story office building in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. Demolition consisted of stripping the existing building back to the concrete structural frame, and included the removal of the existing building skin, roofing, interior improvements, core elements, and all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Asbestos removal was also part of the scope of work.

The building shell renovation included the construction of a new exterior skin, new roof, new core, and new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Project scope Included interior upfitting of floors 4 through 12 for use as Wachovia office space. Batson-Cook also performed preconstruction services for this project under separate contract.
