Batson-Cook was involved in a public/private partnership with the
City of Augusta to convert an old rail yard into part of the Augusta
Riverwalk. Preconstruction services, including establishing original
budgets, conceptual estimates and value enhancements, were performed
which enabled the campus to grow to be even more than the owner
originally conceptualized. This project includes a hotel, office
building, conference center and parking deck.
The 14-story Radisson Hotel contains 242 guest rooms. The Radisson
Conference Center, which adjoins the second floor of the hotel,
contains a total of 42,500 square feet of interior floor area, and
is located over a two-level, 187,000-square-foot parking deck. Facing
the Hotel, the "One Tenth Street" office building houses
162,000 square feet of space on seven floors.
