Northside Hospital Forsyth - Women's Center

The $30.6 million Women’s Center is the most recent of more than 10 projects to be completed by Batson-Cook for Northside Hospital’s Forsyth County Campus in Cumming, Georgia. This new three-story, 108,000-square-foot addition to the main facility includes a galleria connecting to the main hospital and a pedestrian bridge connecting to the medical office building. This facility allows new mothers and their children access to 12 labor and delivery rooms, 16 postpartum rooms and two newborn nurseries. In addition, Batson-Cook constructed nine NICU rooms and three operating rooms within the high-functioning wing.
A multi-colored terrazzo floor highlights the main galleria, forming a large flower. This room, the centerpiece of the new building, is enhanced by a beautiful rotunda ceiling which includes three large oval-shaped skylights. Unique lighting, made in Europe, underscores the unique argyle pattern painted onto the ceiling.
The Women’s Center was designed and constructed for the addition of three vertical floors and another six-story future wing.
