Location: Cumming, Georgia
This three-story, 108,000-square-foot, new space was constructed on the campus in Cumming, Georgia, to serve as Northside’s Women’s Center. The project consists of a grand galleria connecting to the main hospital, a pedestrian bridge connecting to the MOB, two operating rooms, twelve labor and delivery rooms, seven pre-op rooms, sixteen post-partum rooms, two newborn nurseries, one pharmacy and nine NICU rooms. The Women’s Center was designed and constructed for the addition of three vertical floors and another six-story future wing.
In 2011, a 49,000-square-foot addition to the existing Women’s Center was constructed by Batson-Cook. The expansion includes 24 new patient rooms, two labor and delivery rooms, eight doctor sleep rooms, three nurse stations and offices.
