Batson-Cook served as general contractor for the University of
Alabama's newest addition to the campus - Shelby Hall Interdisciplinary
Science Building. This three-story, high-end "monumental structure"
houses 220,000 square feet of predominantly high-tech laboratories
and theater-style lecture halls. Shelby Hall contains new facilities
for physics, traffic engineering computer simulation, and nuclear
magnetic resonance research, among others.
