Batson-Cook is constructing the 44,000-square-foot facility to achieve Silver LEED certification. The project’s scope is a cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete frame with steel structure. The interior will feature a multi-media classroom, sound room, and a media production room. The project also includes a coffee bar and reference rooms.
As part of the LEED certification process, Batson-Cook is reclaiming an adjacent parking lot and returning it to greenspace; installing enhanced mechanical plumbing and electric systems to reduce water and energy consumption; and using non-odorous low-emitting material containing recycled content in the construction of this project. |
