Academy of the Holy Names
Tampa, FL
Phase 1: $2,020,000
Phase 2 (Bridge): $1,820,000
Batson-Cook was selected to renovate the first and second floors
of the North and South Wings (circa 1950) of the Bayshore campus
of the Academy of the Holy Names. The main criteria for 30,000 SF
work was that it be completed while the facility was unoccupied
during the summer. Work included replacement of all windows, new
HVAC, electrical, fire alarms, CCTV, and voice/data systems, modernization
of classrooms, new science labs, and new ceiling and floor covering
throughout. The elevator in the 1928 four-story main building was
also replaced.
Recently completed was a 2-level Pedestrian Bridge spanning the
adjacent roadway and the parent drop-off lanes. Its London Bridge-style
architecture ties in with the current campus scheme.
