This 300,000 square foot campus is organized around five "super
departments" rather than the traditional isolated classrooms
assigned by subject matter. This plan allows better day lighting
and organization of instructional spaces. These five connected buildings
house administration, classrooms and support areas. The classrooms
accommodate the latest technology and allow for student group work.
The school allows for outdoor instructional opportunities for science
and art curriculums, and serves about 2,000 students. Adjacent to
the buildings, Batson-Cook constructed a soccer field, practice
field, baseball and softball fields, stadium and tennis courts,
along with facilities for track and field activities.
