hollow core for the second floor deck and
open webbed bar joists for the roof
structure.
Stucco exterior, with a mixed-exposed
block interior.
Fast-tracked, the project was completed in
just seven and a half months - four and a
half months sooner than the standard 12
months typically scheduled for an
elementary school of this size.
Civil and foundation work was bid mid-
December. Batson-Cook mobilized and
commenced with construction in early
January. The new school was completed,
occupied and operational for the first day
of classes the following year.
This is the 25th new/renovation/addition
project Batson-Cook has completed for
the nations 8th largest public school
system.
