JACKSONVILLE, FL (June 21, 2017) – Batson-Cook Construction recently completed two projects for St. Vincent’s HealthCare of Jacksonville.
The first was St. Vincent’s Primary and Urgent Care Center, the healthcare provider’s flagship walk-in clinic located on San Jose Boulevard. This $3.2-million project called for the conversion of a 14,500-square-foot Walgreens store into a walk-in clinic providing both primary and urgent care services. Each service area has dedicated exam and procedure rooms.
The clinic also has an Imaging Department with MRI, CT scanner, ultrasound, radiology, and mammography capabilities, and includes a Consolidated Laboratory Services comprehensive laboratory.
Architect for the project was HKS Architects of Miami.
The second project was the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside. This collaborative effort between the two healthcare providers called for the conversion of a 12,817-square-foot space on the hospital’s fourth floor into a cancer treatment and infusion center.
The center features 14 private infusion rooms, six exam rooms, and support spaces. Although it is located on St. Vincent’s Riverside campus, it will be operated by Mayo Clinic.
Construction costs totaled $2.2 million. RS&H, Inc. of Jacksonville was the architect.
