COLUMBUS, GA (May 19, 2017) – Batson-Cook Construction broke ground today for construction of Northside Medical Center’s first Emergency Department. The $4.6-million addition is set for completion in April 2018.
Northside Medical Center, one of two Columbus Regional Health campuses in Columbus, is located on Frist Court. The new 12,000-square-foot ED, which will connect to the existing medical center, will house 10 beds and emergency medical support services. Emergency vehicle access, a 40-space parking lot, and associated site work are also included in the project.
“We are excited to be part of a project to make emergency services available for the first time at this busy medical center,” said Paul Meadows, general manager of Batson-Cook’s West Point office. “We consider it an honor to partner once again with Columbus Regional in enhancing healthcare for our friends and neighbors in Columbus and its surrounding communities.”
EYP/Stanley Beaman & Sears of Atlanta is the architect for the project.
