Frank Nelson Named Senior Vice President And General Manager Of Batson-Cook's Tampa Operation

January 25, 2010 - Tampa, Florida – Batson-Cook recently appointed Frank Nelson to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of its Tampa office.  He will lead efforts in strategic planning, business development and construction operations, among other tasks essential to the growth of the office and company. 

“I plan to continue the tradition of Batson-Cook as an excellent construction partner here in Tampa,” states Nelson.  “In addition to continuing to provide excellent service to our current clients, I look forward to forging new relationships as well.”

Mr. Nelson has been with Batson-Cook for over twenty years. During his tenure with Batson-Cook he has worked on numerous construction projects such as the OmniPhase Expansion at Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry, the Tampa Port Authority’s Cruise Terminal No. 3, and numerous projects with Hillsborough County Public Schools. He was the project executive on The Sage and 1010 Central condominium developments in downtown St. Petersburg.

He has led fundraising activities for several non-profit organizations including the Hillsborough Education Foundation. His efforts and Batson-Cook’s sponsorships have raised over $500,000 for area non-profits. 

Mr. Nelson is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Building Construction.
