Atlanta, GA (November 26, 2019) –– Batson-Cook Construction, one of the Southeast’s leading commercial construction companies, has moved into a new, open-style office in Vinings, Ga.
This 33,340 square-foot facility, located at 2859 Paces Ferry Road SE in the Overlook III building, was designed to promote communication and fuel collaboration with the inclusion of open desks, white noise to reduce distractions, and huddle spaces to make it easier for employees to collaborate outside their normal workspace.
“This new office affords us the opportunity to redesign how we work with one another,” said Randy Hall, president of Batson-Cook. “Our new facility promotes open communication, which provides us the luxury of harvesting the great ideas that lead to innovation and excellence on the work we perform.”
Construction materials, like woods, plastic, leather, glass and metal, are heavily utilized in the design of the space. Windows allow natural light to filter into the office and provide a 180-degree view of downtown Atlanta. Conference rooms have been fitted with the latest web-based collaboration materials, including Microsoft Surface Hubs for long-distance meetings, web cameras and high-tech microphones.
Idea-Span was both the architect and interior designer of the space. Batson-Cook Construction handled the renovation.
