ATLANTA, GA (January 25, 2019) – Batson-Cook Construction has begun construction of The Sandestin Hotel, a new luxury hotel in Miramar Beach, FL that will be located adjacent to the Baytowne Wharf Conference Center at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Completion of the hotel is slated for April 2020.
“The Batson-Cook team is excited to be building a hotel at this iconic resort on the Emerald Coast,” said Steve McTighe, project executive for Batson-Cook. “It will surely enhance the Sandestin experience for guests and conference attendees alike.”
The new 250-room full-service hotel will feature a three-meal restaurant, a lobby bar, room service, a luxury spa, a fitness facility, and a signature rooftop pool and bar.
Also included will be more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space and a 13,000-square-foot ballroom, all of which will be contiguous to the existing 30,000-plus square feet of meeting space at Baytowne Conference Center.
The hotel, which will encompass a total of 246, 665 square feet, will cost $56 million to construct.
Owner of the project is Sandestin Investments, LLC of Sandestin. Architect for the project is Cooper Carry of Atlanta.
