Mr. Glover, whose uncle and grandfather founded Batson-Cook in 1915, has overall responsibility for the company's strategic direction and growth. He began as an office engineer, served as a field engineer, superintendent, project manager, assistant vice president, vice president, executive vice president, and president before assuming his current role. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1960 and a Master in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Tech in 1963. Mr. Glover has been a registered professional engineer since 1969. Other than serving as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1960 and 1961, his entire career has been with Batson-Cook.
He is a trustee of LaGrange College, past president of the West
Point Rotary Club, an executive board member of the Southern Region
of the Boy Scouts of America, and a member of the External Advisory
Board of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering for the
Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Glover’s past community service
work includes serving as chairman of the city of West Point Board
of Education, president of the West Point Jaycees, chairman of the
West Point Downtown Development Authority, chairman of the West
Point United Way Fund, and president of the Chattahoochee Council,
Boy Scouts of America. In 2007, he received the Silver Antelope
award from the Boy Scouts of America, Southern Region.
