Mr. Barksdale, who has been with Batson-Cook for 28 years, has worked as an office engineer, field engineer, superintendent, project manager and senior project manager, overseeing a variety of projects in both the public and private sectors. He holds a bachelor of science in building science from Auburn University.

Mr. Barksdale is a board member and past president of the Associated General Contractors of Greater Florida, Inc. He is a trustee at the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, on the Board for Daniel and a member of the West Jacksonville Rotary Club.
